1. NEW SINGLE OUT TODAY!

The new LJUNGBLUT single, “NORWAY HAS NOT YET DIED” is now available for download. Release 01.05.2012.

Itunes, Amazon, Wimp, Spotify, Zvooq (Russia) or “whatever you desire…”

The song was first time performed at the debut-shows of Ljungblut at Total in Tønsberg, December 2011. ”Norway has not yet died”, will also soon be released on a CD along with a black-and-white photobook documenting the shows at Total. The CD will also include four live-tracks recorded at Total.

The title is a wordplay on the Ukrainian national anthem.

As with the album, “Over skyene skinner alltid solen”, the recording-sessions were really something special. This time the vocal-take stood out. It was taped in one session while rehearsing through the track one late night. Suddenly it was just all there. A keeper.

”Norway has not yet died” was recorded at Villa Carlotta, Room 13 and Dan’s electro.

It’s mixed by Alex Møklebust at Room 13 and mastered by Chris Sansom at Propeller Recordings.

    Performed by:

    Kim Ljung, vocals and keys.

    Dan Heide, guitars.

    Sindre Pedersen, bass.

    Ted Skogmann, drums.

    Joakim Brendsrød, keys.

    Terje Johannesen, trumpet.

Filmed by Lars Martin Kræmer of Transmisson. (Dødens dal DVD, Doppelgänger I love you, Industry People)

Recorded straight from the mixer as a stereotrack. So no mixing options. However still sounding very decent.

The clips giving you a hint of the special atmosphere from those two sold out nights at Total in Tønsberg.

  5. Sympathy on the way

The NOPA show “Made in Tønsberg” was a smash!

A great evening yesterday with fine people at Oseberg in Tønsberg.

The compressed version of Ljungblut performed “Sympathy on my soul” for the very first time. Along with “Is there another way”. Terje Johannesen contributed with slide and trumpet.

    Definitely a night to remember!
